Daniel Rios Rodriguez has a BFA from the University of Illinois, Chicago and a MFA from Yale School of Art. Rios Rodriguez has exhibited work in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York City, Mexico City, Berlin, and London, among other major cities. He had a recent solo exhibition Bite the Tongue in Dublin, Ireland (2018). That same year, he was an artist-in-residence at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa, TX. He is a 2013 recipient of a Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award and his work has been discussed in Frieze magazine, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and Art in America.
The artist lives and works in San Antonio where he is a professor of painting at the Southwest School of Art.
