KRTU 91.7 FM Year of Jazz Concert featuring The Kris Kimura Quintet
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of its radio station, KRTU 91.7 FM, Trinity University has partnered with more than 20 local arts and cultural organizations to stage monthly jazz performances from October 2011 through October 2012. You can view KRTU's full Year of Jazz calendar at www.yearofjazz.org.

To do our part to celebrate a fellow San Antonio institution during the Year of Jazz, Artpace will feature The Kris Kimura Quintet live in concert. Devoted to The Great American Songbook, the Austin-based group sets a new standard for traditional jazz.

Year of Jazz events are free to members of any of the participating organizations. Just show proof of membership at the door. The Artpace concert is free for members and kids age 12 and under. $10 for non-members--or you can buy a FRESH ART FIRST membership and get in free with a guest! (Memberships begin at $25 and can be purchased at www.artpace.org/membership or by calling Artpace at 212.4900.)

International Artists-in-Residence Community Potluck Dinner
Help us welcome our new International Artists-in-Residence: Leslie Hewitt (New York, New York), Jacco Olivier (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), and Mike Osborne (Austin, Texas). It's summertime in Texas, so we'll keep it light with an appetizer theme. We'll provide several savory (and sweet) bites, if you'll help by complementing the menu. Bring YOUR favorite appetizers, finger foods, or dessert to share on this casual evening of food, friends, and the future, as we talk to the new residents about their upcoming projects at Artpace. Artist presentations begin at 7pm.
