Transitios
Public Opening & Walk-through
Mexico City's populous, bustling atmosphere and its relationship to the world is defined by microcosmic moments of exchange encompassing miscommunication, economy, currency, geography, and culture. Transitios is an exploration of artistic ideas traversing the city's borders. Independent curator Leslie Moody Castro and Artpace Deputy Director Mary Heathcott have brought together artists Ricardo Cuevas, Máximo González, Miguel Monroy, and Jose Antonio Vega Macotela, as well as works from the Mexico City-based Changarrito Collection that explore issues of exchange.

A walk-through with the curators and artists begins at 7pm. On view through April 21.

Window Works
Cultivated Divergence
San Antonio-based artist Leigh Anne Lester morphs and mutates flora to create new trans-species that address genetic modification and alteration of plants. Her installation, Cultivated Divergence, will be featured in our Window Works gallery space. (Window Works opens in conjunction with our Hudson (Show)Room exhibition.) Also on view through April 21.

10-minute Tours
The first Friday following an opening (Hey that's today!) features two Educator-led 10-minute Tours through our newest Hudson (Show)Room and Window Works exhibitions. Guided tours meet in the courtyard at 12:30 and 1pm.

Spring International Artists-in-Residence Community Potluck Dinner
Help us welcome our new International Artists-in-Residence: Tala Madani (Tehran, Iran), Adam Putnam (New York, New York), and J. Parker Valentine (Austin, Texas).

It's actually cold outside! So we thought we’d throw a soup-tacular affair. We'll provide several homemade, mouthwatering soups (including a vegetarian option), if you'll help by complementing the menu. Bring YOUR favorite soup, stew, chili, crackers, bread, or dessert to share on this casual evening of food, friends, and the future, as we talk to the new residents about their upcoming projects at Artpace. Artist presentations begin at 7pm.
