Kronkosky Foundation Awards $75,000 Grant to Artpace San Antonio for Art Elements Education Program

SAN ANTONIO, TX - Artpace San Antonio is pleased to announce the award of $75,000 from the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation to fund the nonprofit contemporary arts center's Art Elements education program. Respected for its internationally renowned residency program and exhibitions, Artpace serves as one of San Antonio's premier institutions for contemporary art education. With a mission "[to] produce profound good that is tangible and measurable in Bandera, Bexar, Comal, and Kendall counties in Texas by implementing the Kronkosky's charitable purposes," the Texas foundation has supported Artpace's programming since 2004. "Artpace is honored to gain the trust and support of the Kronkosky Foundation," says Mary Heathcott, Interim Managing Director of Artpace. "They are truly a leader in our community, supporting innovation and some of Texas's most exciting institutions." Having grown to serve over 28,000 students annually through its education department alone, Artpace is dedicated to providing free programming to individuals of all ages with a mission to inspire. Much like the International Artist-in-Residence program, Art Elements encourages creative expression and establishes contemporary art as an accessible and dynamic social force.
