On August 24, 2023, our 2024 Guest Curator Beverly Adams stopped by Artpace to discuss her curatorial practice. Beverly Adams is The Museum of Modern Art’s Estrellita Brodsky Curator of Latin American Art. Before joining MoMA, Adams was the Curator of Latin American Art at the Jack S. Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin. Most recently, Adams organized (with Natalia Majluf) the exhibition Redes de Vanguardia: Amauta y América Latina, 1926-1930 (The Avant-garde Networks of Amauta: Argentina, Mexico, and Peru in the 1920s) which traveled to the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, the Museo de Arte de Lima in Peru, the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, and the Blanton Museum of Art from 2019-2020. Adams holds a PhD in Art History from the University of Texas at Austin.
