About This Project

David Benjamin Sherry‘s 2012 exhibition, Earth Changes, launched the vitality of Sherry’s abstractions of landscape into three-dimensional space. Ten immense, dyed rocks rise from pedestals of varying heights, and were tightly packed to enact the experience of hiking through the desert. The stones’ saturated color emphasized the natural striations and markings.

Using tape and chalk to compose an abstracted landscape, you will create a geometric chalk mural inspired by David’s exhibition, Earth Changes.
