Artpace Teen Council

Programs and events for the teen crowd

The Artpace Teen Council is a nine-month, paid program designed for San Antonio area high school students to become advocates for contemporary art and young leaders in their community. Teen Council members work with artists and administrators to develop teen programs, support Artpace events, and create community-based projects throughout the school year.

A student is eligible if they:

  • Are an area high school student (15-18 years old) living in Bexar County
  • Have their own transportation (a ride, a bus, a bike) to Artpace
  • Can meet every Thursday from 5PM – 7PM at Artpace (non on school holidays)
  • Are open-minded, creative, responsible, and enjoy working collaboratively
  • Can commit to the Artpace Teen Council for one school year (September – May)

Applications for the Teen Council are open May 1st – June 30th each year

Teen events

Throughout the year, the Artpace Teen Council hosts free teen-only events that explore Artpace exhibitions and contemporary ideas. Teen events include artist-led workshops, talks, music, and more.
