3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Artpace San Antonio

Artpace invites you to join us for an intimate and captivating poetry reading and musical performance with Main Space artist Angela Guerra Walley, on Saturday, September 2, from 3–5pm.

Angela Guerra Walley is an artist and writer known for her advocacy of contemporary visual and performing arts through her documentary filmmaking and as the frontwoman of the band, Dreambored. In 2010 she co- founded Walley Films, a film production studio, with her partner and twenty-year collaborator, Mark Lee Walley. She made her feature-length directorial debut in 2018 with Tia Chuck: A Portrait of Chuck Ramirez. In 2020 her band released their cathartic debut album, Loved Ones. Angela’s debut collection of poetry celebrating her latent queer and poly relationships, Last Chance for a Sun, was released in May 2023. She currently works from her home studio in San Antonio, bringing together all her passions into a single multidisciplinary art practice as a unifying act of personal healing.

This event is free and open to the public. Free parking can be found at 513 N Flores. Angela’s exhibition, We Are Quilted Together, is on view at Artpace through September 3, 2023.
