Michael Anthony García: Morfología

6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
Artpace

In Morfología, artist Michael Anthony García collaborates with the curator and participating artists of  After Carolee: Tender and Fierce to propose another layer of the conversation their work embodies around Carolee Schneemann. Presented as an abstracted collage of video, poetry, voice, and sound generated by the participants, Morfología speaks to Schneemann’s background in poetry as a means of approaching her work, legacy, and inspiration to other artists. This type of collage/ matchmaking of objects, ideas, stories, and people is at the heart of García’s diverse multidisciplinary practice, which he approaches (much like yoga or meditation) as a repeated embodiment of an emotional positivity or care in the world.

This online event will be held on Zoom and streamed to the Artpace Facebook page.
