Join Reading Red – an Artpace book club – and explore literature that has inspired artists and exhibitions. In conjunction with Artpace’s 25th anniversary, we continue to celebrate Linda Pace’s legacy by discussing books and articles authored by women.
We are kicking off our book club with Dreaming Red: Creating Artpace. Published in 2003, Dreaming Red contains a history of Artpace’s foundation and a personal history of its founder written by Linda Pace, essays from former Vice President of the Linda Pace Foundation Jan Jarboe Russell, former Artpace Executive Director Kathryn Kanjo, art historian Eleanor Heartney, and many guest curators from the first half of Artpace’s International Artist-In-Residence program.
Get a 40% discount at check-out from The Shop at Artpace on your copy of Dreaming Red when you sign up for February’s meeting at our front desk or read onsite in the Artpace Archives & Resource Library!
The bi-monthly book club will be held at Artpace on the last Saturday of each month, beginning February 29, at 2 pm. Reading Red is free and open to the public. Free parking is available in the Artpace parking lot at 513 N. Flores Street.
