Take a beginning level online embroidery workshop with artist Sarah Fox! Sarah will provide an introduction to embroidery and guide students through the basics. Sampler and materials kit included! A Flying Frog sampler designed by Sarah will be mailed (or picked up at Artpace) along with a kit including all the supplies needed to complete the workshop: a variety of thread, an embroidery hoop, wool felt, and embroidery needle.

Monday August 24, 6-8:30 pm
The first class will cover types of fabrics, needles, and thread available to use in embroidery and the pluses and minuses of all of them. Each stitch will be demonstrated, and students will be guided through the process of creating the embroidery.
During the week, students are encouraged to try each stitch and hone their new skill. Any questions or difficulties may be emailed.
Monday August 31, 6-7 pm
The final class will cover any questions, help problem–solve any issues, and include a demonstration of how to finish and stretch your new embroidery.
