Commissioned for the San Antonio TriCentennial, Word Salsa is a poetry-generating robot that uses machine learning to create unique poems based on real San Antonio poetry. Created by Rick Stemm and Stevan Zivadinovic, Word Salsa is only possible because of the contributions of dozens of San Antonio poets.
See Word Salsa in action in Artpace’s lobby from April 8-April 30. Then meet the poets and creators at this Artpace panel talk hosted by Stevan Zivadinovic. There will be discussions of the poetry (both human and machine generated), Q&A, and transmedia performances during which the human poets read their robotic creations.
Artpace is always free and open to the public.
Free parking at 513 N Flores.
