Last week, Spring 2014 International Artist-in-Residence Liz Glynn (Los Angeles) spoke at Texas State University in San Marcos. A crowd of about 120 students and professors gathered in the art department to hear Liz talk about her sculpture and performance work, which explores the significance bestowed on objects due to sentimental value or perceived historic importance. Liz shared insight into her artistic process and followed the talk by answering questions from the audience.
Assistant Curator of Education, Teen and University Programs, Taylor Browning also spoke to students about summer internship opportunities at Artpace.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the Spring 2014 International Artist-in-Residence opening on Thursday, March 22, 6-9pm at Artpace.
